By the latest estimate, there are over 150,000 active classified sites on the web today, with more coming out each month. The reason of this phenomenon - the pie is huge for sharing. The online spending on classified advertisements is ever going up, and was at 5 billion USD for the year of 2006 alone. By year 2010, the amount will reach 10 billion USD, and that is only a pessimistic estimate.
